| no partners | | Really should call this the Yucca/cactus photo trip. Hiking between caves in several locations for two weekends. Last weekend Brian ended up in the ER and in the Payson Hospital for several days. Really nice folks there, they did a good job. He is doing much better now.
This weekend we managed a couple of caves. I was the one that almost ended back at the medical center when I just about lost it on a 40 foot off width crack climb we were doing free style in a cave we've been in before. There is an awkward move about 25 feet up and with muddy shoes I was dangling with no footholds and my left arm painfully jammed and basically I was hanging by my left elbow. It still hurts today but at least I can fully bend and straighten my arm now. I managed to upper body it to a place where I could get one foot in a toe hold.
Anyway, I enjoyed lots of flowers and nice skies in between the terror trips into several limestone cracks. One looks really promising. I think I need to rest now, however. |
