| no partners | | | Decided to see what the "Needle Viewpoint" sign across from the Bulldog Canyon trailhead is all about. Walked the paved path 500 feet to the viewpoint of Weavers Needle (terrible views of Weavers Needle) and then continued through a wash and then on a well-traveled trail for maybe a mile to some decent views of Superstition Mountain. Got a nice image of it with some wispy clouds (posted here but won't show up on homepage cause it's only one photo) and then turned back. Jogging down the trail as the light dimmed and the air cooled, I started to feel the mountains pull me back. My last real superstition trek was Black Top Mesa back in March and I'm getting the itch. It's been way too long... |
