| partners | | I tried to plan a weekend in the White Mountain ahead of time and catch some Fall colors. Wally said he would drive, Bob said he would cook, I just had to navigate. Thanks to them for letting me off easy! We met around 3:00am and hit the Escudilla Trail around 8:00am. The weather was great. Most of the leaves had already fallen in the Aspen Tunnel. We did see some on the drive in speckled in the Pine trees. The Aspen in the first big opening on the way up the trail were putting on a pretty good show. We took some pictures and headed on up to the tower. It was closed but you could climb most of the way up and see the awesome views.
We took a short break and headed back down. We were not quite back to the Government Trail when we got a real treat. To See A BEAR. Awesome. He or she was running across the big open grass area.We were not able to get a picture, but a real treat none the less. From there a couple more pictures and back to the trailhead. A great way to start are weekend. |
