| no partners | | I'd never done Daisy Mountain. I really didn't want to do the "Official" track that has a good portion on an old road, so I started on the SE section, in the area of W. Honda Bow and 11th Ave.
A short climb up an old steep washed out road and I was on the trail. Heading north, I made my way to the north peak first and signed the register. The flag is still there along with 2 solar lights to light it up at night.
I was impressed with the ease at which a mountain biker was climbing up the steep hills towards me on the peak. That was until he got close enough and I saw he was on an e-bike.
I headed down the peak heading to the north TH. The largest concentration of flowers was north of the peak and to the west. Poppies were the major bloom out here by far.
Continuing around to the south, I met up with the "Official" trail. Once again time to climb to get to the South peak, also with flag and solar light.
From here, I returned the way I came. Great weather for hiking and I only saw a few other hikers.
This would be a nice workout hike if you lived in the area. |

Wildflowers Observation Substantial a large portion were poppies. There are also lupine, scorpionweed, red maids and more. |
