| no partners | | It wasn't really a gorgeous chamber of commerce day, but I was shocked to be the only car in the lot on a Saturday shortly after I arrived. The other 2 leaving as I started. I later learned this may have been due to Rodeo weekend. I guess. It was still unusual to be the only one out on the trail on a mild Saturday in snow-bird season. Ran in to several parties coming up as I was heading down, though. I guess full moon hiking is all the rage?
Apples to oranges: I felt like the trails here are covered in lots of loose rock, gravel, scree, debris, whatever you want to call it. I don't see that on the Finger Rock, Ventana or Old Baldy trails. Must be a Tucson Mountains thing, as it is like that on the Sombrero trails in spots. |
