| no partners | | After hanging out all day at Slide Rock and some local businesses, we decided to visit the caves. There was one parking spot available (out of five). Perfect weather. Nobody else was in the caves, as the occupants of the other vehicles were all down at the creek, so we hung out in the caves for a while, then went down to the creek, which was very peaceful, with only the sounds of the birds and the horse across the way. Then we climbed back up and headed out. Nice way to finish the day. |

| partners | | Finally got around to getting this all posted. I had heard of these caves over the years but hadn't made time for this short little jaunt. Today we had planned 3 small things and this just fit on our way out of town. Found the little pull off and it is very small so glad we were there early enough to park. Off we went to find the wind caves... and as I was told just past the sign. and they are very cool. We spent some time goofing off and taking photos. Surprise a couple came crawling out of the lower one and startled me. The trotted down the path to the creek and then another person crawled out.... Not certain if they were just hanging out or camping.
On our way out we started seeing lots of others heading down the trail to the caves. This seems to be a well used trail so if planning to visit go early. |
