Hiked this short trail to the top for the views after checking in. Nice. A little breezy, but that calmed down after sunset. Tons of birds here. Cold overnight, too, especially when compared to Lost Dutchman, but even compared to Catalina State Park.

1st trip
My first trip ever to Patagonia Lake State Park.
Was so amazed at all the desert snow still left from the storm 2 days ago on our 2 hour drive out!
Arrived at 9am to 22 degree temps and first just walked around visiting with the staff trying to warm up before hiking.
We started our hike with the Overlook Trail for the scenic views down on the lake/park.
Then did the Sonoita Creek/Black Hawk loop.
Enjoyed all 3 trails!
We then left the park and drove back to Patagonia for a walk around the shops and some tacos before heading back home to Safford.
We had a great time and agreed to return again someday to see some more of this area.
:D
