| no partners | | I made it back to the Bitterroots yesterday. I set up my first camp for this trip in the southern Bitterroots, just outside of Darby, after relaxing around camp and recovering some from the long drive, I made the short trip to the Baker Lake Trailhead to stretch our legs.
A handful of deadfall on the trail, but nothing overly impeding and overall the trail was in great shape. I assume the deadfall will not last long on this trail, due to its popularity. I passed one group on the way in and a large group was camped at the lake. The views along the trail and the lake were as scenic as I had remembered. After a quick dip at the lake for Dot, we returned the way we hiked in.
It’s good to be back in the Bitterroots. |
