This was another one of the hikes I was looking forward to and saved it for my last hike of the trip. It was close to where we were staying so it worked out fine... except I was not planning on the end destination being closed.

Deb dropped me off at the Shipwreck Beach parking lot and then she drove to the other end of the trail to do some walking around.

Shipwreck beach is real pretty with it's overhanging trees and surrounding cliffs. A lot of this trail is sandy, but I don't remember it being a tough walk. There are many use trails in the area, but if you follow close to the coastline it's hard to go wrong.

Great views of the rocky coastline and crashing waves. At one point you pass next to the Poipu Bay Golf Course.

After reaching Ezra's Beach I found a trail that headed up to Makauwahi Cave. I met up with Deb and we headed for the entrance only to find we'd missed the caves closing of 4pm by 10 minutes. Oh well, much could be seen from above.

We headed to the car after my last of 29 hikes on 3 islands. Nothing real long, but a good sample of the 3 islands we were on. I hit most of the ones that I really wanted to do except for one that was fogged in up in Kokee State Park.
