| no partners | | This has been my favorite section of this trail so far. Very remote, great scenery. The first four miles was uphill. Once past that, we were cruisin. This was literally the highpoint of this trail 6480'. Just south of this point was a rest area trailhead "Dumont". There is a hiker/biker cabin for shelter with picnic tables if caught in inclement weather. Also a bike station with air and a variety of tools if needed, very traveler friendly. Pictures document side adventures. Segments 4 -6 southbound. Water available here also. |
