We were hoping to get a good look at the fairly well preserved ruin but were disappointed because it is fenced off. So, we decided to trek on over to the confluence. The path was easy to follow until we hit the ravine where it disappeared. We decided to hoof it, cross country, skirting the edge of the ravine around to the bluff where we found a great place overlooking the merging rivers. There, we sat and experienced the natural beauty and serenity of the place until it was time to leave. We hiked back to the ruin on the dirt road, enjoying the variety of plantlife in full bloom. |
