The fire over the summer pretty well ripped through this trail. Trail condition starts OK from the trailhead off of the Workman Creek road, but as you work your way to the Moody Point Trail, #140. The trail is completely blown out by rains in the burn area, probably about two miles of the trail south of the #140 intersection are completely gone. Unless you want to bushwhack through a burned out hellscape, wait for the ground to stabilize and the forest service to reroute this trail.

Similar to the write up on the Rim Trail, #139, the fire over the summer, and heavy October rains have completely wiped out sections of this trail. The largest blown out section is close to the trailhead off Workman Creek road, so you will find out real quick that the trail is gone.

First hike on Deer Creek Trail since the fire in the 2000's, I was surprised how nicely the Sycamores have come back, in 10 - 15 years there will be quite a canopy back in the stream bed.

Trail condition bordered on a super highway, FS did a nice job reconstructing the trail. There are a few slopes that would be a bit tricky when wet, but all but the most timid hikers would have no problem on the trail.

Great wildflower show, and the stream was running nicely, managed to get my feet wet..

Beware of poison ivy when you get back into the canyon a bit, some was growing into the trail.

All in all a great hike on a cool April morning
