Did this hike during the week of my 3rd wedding anniv. The weather was very nice. I thought the trail was in excellent condition and is well shaded for most of the trip. The shade kept it very comfortable even during the middle of the day.

This was the first hike of my 3rd anniv. week. It was a nice easy hike with a decent view. A nice hike to get acclimated to the higher elevation.

Relaxing hike, but don't expect too much.

This is second time I have been up here. I really like the area for weekend camping. It is also a nice place to take the pups. As others have mentioned, the trail is really hard on dog paws and you need to make sure you have water for them also, since there isn't any natural water until you get down to the bottom.
