| partners | | My first time to Tom's Thumb and it was gorgeous! Arrived while dark and waited for the gate to open and for Laurie to arrive. Watching the sunrise was the perfect way to start this hike, and day for that matter. While still in the parking lot Laurie introduced me to James_in_Az. Nice to meet another HAZ member! It felt like the temps were in the 80s the whole time, probably not the case but there was a nice breeze and we were in the shade for most of the hike. We saw a rabbit and several lizards. Not much for flowers, I only took one pic in that department. I think if this were a closer drive it would be a weekly hike for sure. Thanks to Laurie for another fun hike..just love hiking w u!! |
