There were a lot of people (as expected), but it was fun. I hung out at Fat Man's Pass for awhile before heading on to the natural tunnel. I saw an interesting little paragraph etched into a wall (I'll post pictures as soon as I can get my camera to work again). It said something about "If read...be ye ready for...not what ye may think...of man..." A lot of it was hard to read, but thats what I can remember. It's four, maybe five lines and is etched above this nifty little rock seat. Has anybody else seen this? I'm curious about it. I'm thinking not a lot of people see it because 1) its not too visible and 2) everyone seems to rush past it. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this. Plenty of variety. Very easy parts, less easy parts, Fat Man's Pass, natural tunnel, petroglyphs, nifty rock formations, crawling over, under, and through rocks. I also finally saw a few coyotes hanging out on the mountainside too! |
