Took some friends on this one, three out of four of us made it to the top.
Not a beginner hike, but good training to hike the Grand Canyon again.

2 1/2 hours to the river, hung out at the river for an hour and hiked over to drinking water on the other side of the Colorado up the river trail, then 4 hours to hike back to the south rim.
Not recommended for the faint of heart.
