Ben Harris's favorite hike. This are is also called the 'Grand Canyon' of Carolinas but having seen the canyon thrice I think it is unfair and ridiculous comparison. The last half a mile on Pinchin Trail felt like Camelback hike.

Later we dined at Yainni's in a small town of Morganton. I liked the food and ambience there. Overall it was a fun experience.

This was a second hike with Steve Brachov, an unofficial one. Other members were Albert, Kenneth Yates,Casey Brown,Kelly( from east TN),John, Lyle.

This one was first with the Piedmont Hiking Club. Along with me was Steve Brachow and Randy Carter. Both of them hiked these places several times and knew the place around. We basically went off the trail and did the Widows creek loop and Bullhead Creek.Final 2 miles were on the Blue ridge parkway.

Out of the 13 miles half of them were 'mountain miles' so we had to scramble and bushwhack.

On Day 2 we did this short hike North of our camp base in Aravaipa Canyon. We climbed the mountains until we reached a point where we could not advance further because of the boulders.There is no marked trail but the water stream served as a good trail.

This was the hiking trip we did Saturday Morning.South of the canyons.We tried to go as far up as possible following the spring but at one point it was impossible to maneuver the rocks and we gave up.
