great hike/climb. That one part at the end is the only time I felt 'kind of' exposed... I was able to poke around a bit around the saddle. Great views of the lake and surrounding area. This one is a must for the summer!
Oh and Joe you were right about teh ladybugs.... HOLY CRAP!!! They were all over the place.
The Good: The hike in general... all in all great hike
The Bad: The trail/Route. Spent alot of time off trail (which isnt too bad) and needless to say route finding. Joe had said, right by the Carney Springs drop off, everyone gets lost here... Well I guess I am included in everyone.
Te Ugly: My languge when trying to find the trail.
Its hard and really tests you mentally and physically... Loved it!
yet another great trip up the flatiron... as you can tell by my triplogs I have neen on quite the flatiron kick. I cant get enough, I may even head back out there tomorrow.
I didnt originally plan on spending all day there but thought it might be fun to hike along the ridgeline for a while. I cant wait to tackle that hike... So i spent all day hiking around the FI area. What a great day. I may do the same tomorrow.
