Canyon conditions have warmed up a bit since Philip Mueller's report from 2 weeks ago - there's still some ice blocks here and there but no ice on the water. Not saying its warm by any means, in our 2mm shorty suits we were too worried about survival to really enjoy the narrows. But a fine adventure, nonetheless!

Conditions were very nice for visit through the Jug, what a magnificent place! Water flow was clean and strong with a temperature that was brisk but tolerable in 2mm shorty wetsuits. On the drive in, Tonto Creek is still running but we got across OK without a high clearance vehicle.

This is an excellent 10 mile loop, using a mountain bike shuttle between Badger Springs Wash and the Sunset Point Rest Area. Beautiful canyon with good water flow, vegetation, and interesting history.
