This all-body workout hike insists that you traverse major rocks, steep slops and rocky pathways. Fences keep you from falling off the mountain in some spots. There are numerous hikers at all times. The beauty of the view never grows old, though, from the time I first climbed Camelback many years ago to today the view of the populated land grows. Years ago it seems that Phoenix and the surrounding cities were distinguished by fields and dirt roads. Today the appearance is that of only one city, albeit, huge.
At the top, someone has decorated a Christmas tree this year and has also decorated the lone shrub at the top. The decorations bring a chuckle for the contrast. Clearly, someone has a sense of humor. |
