| no partners | | Hiked this trail again today. This time, 10 degrees cooler at the start (~6:15am) and I was 10+ lbs lighter. Felt better but still have a long ways to go, need to work on my cardio. |

| no partners | | Great hike! This is my first time on this trail and liked that at my 6 AM start and counter clockwise direction I was in the shed of the peaks about 2/3 of the hike. That along with some light cloud cover kept the blazing sun from heating it up too quickly. At the start the temp was 90.4 degrees; at 1 mile in it was 91.6 then to my surprise at just over 2 miles in it was 89.4! I finished at the same temp as I started, don't know how that happened but I'll take it.
Not as crowded as some of the other trails in the area but very enjoyable. I will do this one again for sure! Thanks to Joe Bartels for his GPS route as I used it to keep myself on track. I've posted a few pictures if you are interested, have a look.

| no partners | | Met co-worker's hiking group to hike this one (Thanks Jackie!). We did the H3 trail and some of what I believe to be the H1 trail to make it a nice loop with a total logged distance of 3.67 miles. This was my first time here and will likely return again to do the other trails.
We hit the trail about 6:15am which for the heat today might have been a little late but still a good hike. Snapped off a couple of pictures from the summit and posted to my Facebook page.
Looking forward to the next hike in my quest to get in shape. Off next Friday but haven't decided where to hike yet but I do plan on going out. Maybe I will have to preview another one of the 7 Summit trails??? |

| no partners | | Would have like an earlier start but we still got in the hike we wanted before it got too hot. Passed a couple of geocaches along the way but didn't take time to actually look for them. We did see a big squirrel and two large jack rabbits...I was keeping my eyes open for snakes but didn't see any. Looking forward to the next hike! |

| no partners | | First time to top, about killed me. Went with Dave and Royce. This was my first time hiking ANYWHERE in years and man am I out of shape. This was the start and hope to complete Phoenix 7 Summits in one day sometime this year, hopfully in November.
There was a rattle snake close to the top on the side of the trail. |
