What a fun hike! didn't have to wait for a parking space when I went at 5am. I brought my headlamp, which turned out to be a good idea but I only needed it for the first 30 minutes. This hike is leg intensive and I'm glad I was in shape when I did it. It's not for the faint of heart! There were very steep parts and even a few handrails. We had a few hold ups- one of my hiking partners threw up and the other took a good tumble, so it took us a while to get up the mountain. The summit is gorgeous at sunrise! There was a nice breeze to cool all your well-earned sweat, and it's so beautiful you want to stay there all day. The trip back was a lot of fun- you have to be careful, but it's fun to see how quickly you can get down. I think I'll go it alone next time and see how quickly I can do it! All in all, this is my favorite hike I've done so far!

Relatively easy hike. There is a steady incline for the 1st 1/2 of the hike so the second half is a breeze. Lovely views and absolutely beautiful in the spring. no way to get lost on this hike as the trail is wide and well marked. There are benches along the way to rest (which I should've since I ran half the trail to catch up with friends who started too early!)

I love this hike! I've been a few times now. It's quite easy- just make sure you don't twist an ankle on all the loose rocks in the first half of the hike. When we reached the pools the first time there were frogs mating and two weeks later there were tadpoles getting their legs! So fun.
