It was a little windy today, but only noticed it once in a while. Always love doing this hike. Met up with a meet up group and had lots of fun.

It was a typical lovely day on the peralta trail. We did see to large tarantulas on the dirt road on the drive in!! Thought we heard and maybe even got a glimpse of some Javelinas in the bushes, but couldn't get a good look at them. We didn't want to dash into the wash and startle them!! :scared:

We got just past the waterfalls, but the hiker I was with was a little leery about the traffic and the steep climb, so we turned back. It was a nice day and good hike even though we didn't go all the way to the top! Great to be back in AZ and trip logging again!! Our small dog had no problems with the trail, but we didn't get to the large climbs past the waterfall.

Joined a great "meet up" group with this hike. Grape juice and cheese by the full moon! Sorry no pics, cheap camera!

Annual New Years hike. Looking likes lots of other people are starting the same tradition. Of course we went at 1300 instead of our usual 900 start. I have never seen so many cars at the trailhead before. What a great way to start the year!! Always love this hike.

Close to home. Not a bad hike to start the winter season off with. Just getting back into shape.

Biking the Dynamite trail is a bit of work. A long hill climb with a long shallow decent and then you have to turn around and ride it the other way. It's good for the cardio, that's for sure. It's a one way trail unless someone drops you off at one parking lot and then picks you up at the other. Since the trail is brand new, it's a little soft and making some of the sharper corners are a little difficult. I like to explore on my bike and I don't mind walking up the odd hill. But if you like hard packed trails and don't like long, big hills to climb then it's probably not for you.

Was a great hike to break in the New Year. Met 4 people that slept at Weaver's Needle over New Years Eve. That must have been a great experience. I always enjoy this hike.
