Hiked with the kids on Super Trail up to Josephine Saddle and back down Old Baldy Trail. Not many hikers today. Hot!

Old Baldy Trail #372 to Wrightson Summit

First hiked up to Josephine Saddle on Old Baldy Trail and went on to Agua Caliente trail. Lots of birds up there and busy with hikers. No one on the Agua Caliente trail.

Hiked this steep trail with Ken and Mica. Harder than Kent Springs Loop, but shorter. Whew! Beautiful weather and breeze. No water.

Hiked with the whole family. We went up Bog Springs and returned down Kent Springs. I prefer going the other way. Carlos skipped a bunch going up and ran a lot going down. Wish I had that energy. Fell at Kent Springs on a slippery rock and landed in a good place on my rear. Being wet cooled me off for the rest of the hike, and I provided quite the show for folks resting down by the spring.

For Mother's Day we hiked the Nature Trail in Madera. On the way up to the canyon we saw a Gila Monster crossing the road. Carlos and Greg spotted a Whiskered Screech Owl roosting in a tree. Cute, tiny thing. Karl and Vicki's first hike in a long time. Beautiful weather, shade and some water still flowing.

Easier this time. Went to Kent Springs first. 2 12 hours. Saw Painted Redstart, Mexican Chikadee and a mama dear and her yearling.
Small amount of water.
Also did Proctor circle - additional 1.3 miles.
