| no partners | | Started out 11am Sat 4/30/16, plenty of parking in the little Bug Springs trail-head parking lot. The dry, first part heads straight up. This is where I got my tougher cardio out of the way (but really there were plenty more opportunities throughout). There was one large horse group and 2 mountain bikers. The canyon part is the prettiest part, made me happy I finally tried this trail. Spotted several Mexican Jay's in the canyon. Reached the end (small parking strip on the highway, picnic spot across the road). Took me about 2 hrs 15 mins one way. No bushwhack pants needed, shorts were fine. |
