This is one of my favorite local hikes. The terrain is moderate, thhe climbs are not too challenging and the views are simply spectacular. Best part is that tjis is a lightly used trail, so you get plenty of solitude. I love taking my dogs on this hike. They have plenty of room to run and play. The water tanks give them great spots to drink and cool off in as well. I think I might plan an overnight backpacking trip to the top of the plateau.

Fantastic out and back hike. Lots of good fall foilage. The trail follows the bottom of the canyon and criss crosses the creek several times. Lots of cairns to mark thge way. I hiked to the last cairn and then a little further until I realized that there no longer was any trail to follow. A bit difficult to get to the trail head, but totally worth it.

Did a mid day hike up 261. Beautiful sunny fall day with breezy conditions at the top. Saw lots of other trail users. Beautiful scenery. Couldn't find the spur trail to the peak, so I just hit the overlook. Great conditions on the mountain right now. A good time of year to hike it. Lots of wildflowers blooming. Fantastic views along the way.

This is an awesome trail. It was steep in some sections and rocky at times, but was a blast to hike. My only complaint is that it was hard to find a good vantage point for views at the top. Lots of towers.

The upper parts of the mountain are starting to change color. Aspens were yellow
