Arrived at the TH around 7 am. A little later than I had planned but it worked out fine. It was a cool 57 degrees to start and a nice 78 degrees by the end. A great day for a hike. Overall, I have no additional inputs for the route. It was relatively easy to follow and I was moving along the trail faster than I had thought. Until that last push to the top. Haha. It was a good way to get familiar with the area. And the views! I stayed up there for at least 30 minutes just enjoying the peak. Some bushes were covered in ladybugs! Thousands! After enjoying their company, I headed back down, jumped in the truck, and finished the trip enjoying the scenery.
Overall, Brown's Peak was fun but I need more. Motherlode here I come!

I arrived at the TH about 0830 and from there once I was geared up, proceeded down the creek. It was a pleasant hike with only minimal rock hopping. The end of the narrows was my turn around point. There I had lunch and played fetch with Lulu on one of the soft sanded beaches. Nothing too challenging on this hike, but it was great way to cool off with cool views.

I arrived at the TH of Haunted Canyon approx. @ 0830. An earlier start would have been preferred. But once stepping out and entering into the canyon, the cooler air from the flowing creek and shade provided by the trees made the hike very enjoyable. The trail was relatively easy to follow, but no ways that I could see avoiding getting your feet wet. I stopped by at Tom's Ranch for lunch and was back on the trail by noon. I took the left at the intersection, leaving Haunted and going up to Paradise. The climb out of the canyon felt pretty intense and definitely the day's fatigue was setting in. I was glad to soak my feet in the creek along the trail for a few minutes before exiting Paradise unto FR287. the approx. 7ish mile walk to my truck was a relief and I enjoyed the views and colors on along the landscape as the sunset behind me. I really enjoyed this hike and will do it again sometime. Preferably with a bike for the ride back.
