We decided to do this hike on our way home from Prescott. I knew it was going to get hot so I planned on starting early. I didn't anticipate it would get so hot so quick. We only did 2 miles of the 6.3 mile hike because it got to hot for me and Ellie. It sucked, but was a learning experience. We will definitely go back and finish the hike.

Ellie and I drove to Prescott. It was our 2nd hike, and the first hike we did with elevation gain, and our first hike north of Phoenix. The high elevation made it harder for me to breathe at first, but it was beautiful. I loved the trees and cooler temps.

My first hike with Ellie. I live in Avondale, AZ and wanted to start off on a short hike to see if I wanted to make it a hobby. We started around 8 a.m.. It was a short but steep hike. I did have to stop to catch my breath, but Ellie being a pro hiker did amazing. The view and weather was beautiful. I think we will make this a regular thing!
