Followed Te-Wa into West Clear Creek to find some primo good camping spots below the rim. Of course, being a Te-Wa trip, it rained. I took a couple of slippery rocks and ended up quite wet for the whole first day, so at least I didn't have to worry about hiking with my umbrella.

It was a fantastic trip, the canyon was unbelievably lush and beautiful...though the verdant growth did make hiking much more challenging. I think if it had been sunny and warm the first day, I might have explored more. As it was, however, I just looked at the deep pools that we would need to ford to continue past narrower parts of the canyon and I just said "eh". Definitely want to come back when I've got more time, and more sunshine!

Water temps were perfect, though, and when the sun came out on Sunday, it was heaven down there. It's a long drive from Tucson, but well worth it. Just as scenic as West Fork Oak Creek, but nowhere near as many people!
