I didn't study Jim's description enough. My first ascent went nowhere being a tad bit too west. My second attempt led me to what Jim describes as the "First Pitch". However I followed some paint dots 20 yards right. This led up to a crack that tunneled through to a ledge that looked too dicey for me, especially when I looked down.

Coming down I roamed over (unknowingly) to the First Pitch. I took one look and said to myself "na this ain't it"
