Finally got to scratch that itch.

After driving over the Kaiser Canyon and Burro Creek bridges on Rt 93 in the past, I always wanted to throw together a loop through this area. A bonus, another hot spring on the hike.

Burro Creek was flowing nicely, so it was another week of COLD water crossings, but none were more than waist deep. Me and the boys survived. Just under 8 miles of this hike were around and through Burro Creek.

We took a side trip UP to Burro Mine. We saw / visited a few horizontal shaft mines, the longest went in about 100' and had had a side shaft. A first for me was the collection of core samples, all labeled and laid out in a wooden case.

Next, off to visit Warm Spring, up Warm Spring Canyon, just across Burro Creek.
The water collects in a 5' Oblong catch basin, about knee deep and about 98 degrees in Temp.

On our way up Warm Spring Canyon, close to Rt 93, John found a new outdoor activity he wanted to participate in. http://hikearizona.com/photo.php?ZIP=313152

Kaiser Canyon was enjoyable with only a slight bit of boulder climbing.

We followed a way old jeep road after a bit of a scramble. The road took us back down to Burro Creek and the home stretch. A few more crossings, and an interesting perspective of the bridges under Rt 93, and And we're done.
