| partners | | Nice hike that I looked forwarded to checking out. Grandview seemed to have some wicked drop offs but it was dark so we didn't get the full show. Tonto was about as expected. Wasn't too bad until it just never seemed to connect with the SK  In all fairness, I didn't look it over at all and we were expecting SK a mile too early. It's the kind of hike I'm glad I did as it helps understand the canyon a little more. On the same token the Tonto section is thus far my least favorite section of trail traveled in the GC. The weather and company were fabulous! Big thanks to Wally and Denny 
7 quarts was perfect for me. We crossed water in several drainages. No clue if any will be running in a couple weeks. People that do this in August are nuts!
The new 5.2 software for the Garmin tracks a tad high on mileage. It was a mile over. The older 4.8 version was a tad low... |
