Re: Campsites West Clear Creek Westside

Very helpful gang. Thank you all.
I know I haven't posted much here. I do visit a ton and read yalls adventures.

Knee injuries took me off the trail and onto a bike several yrs ago so I haven't felt like I've had much to contribute. Still love the site though.

Campsites West Clear Creek Westside

I've seen groups of boy scouts going into West Clear Creek so obviously there are areas for backpack camping but I've hiked in a few miles and never seen campsites. How far back do you have to go for these camping areas?

Re: Pumphouse Wash

Thank you. Gonna try to check it out on a day wander. The canyon aspect and close drive seemed an appealing choice for an easy 1 nighter

Pumphouse Wash

I'm looking for info on Upper Pumphouse Wash from basically James Canyon North. Are there backpacking camp sites anywhere along the wash that aren't near the FR237 poophole area? I was thinking of hiking down from Kelly Pocket and taking Pumphoyse out to make a short loop. It's an overnighter with m...

Pine Creek Narrows

I'm looking at the rating for this hike, 0.5 out of 5. That sounds pretty easy but then I look at pics and it looks like lots of scrabbling down rock walls using existing ropes periodically. When you guys say 0.5 is that meaning 0 to 5 canyoneering equipment and skills or is that a 0 to 5 hiking ski...

snow play

Is there enough snow around Payson to make it worth the drive? I'm looking for a spot to play in, not sled. If anyone has a suggestion of an actual spot in the forest that will be accessible by a mini-van I would greatly appreicate the advice.

thanks

Re: Please Boycott Phoenix Summit Challenge

Wow, what a scumbag. I know John Stanley and he is not a scumbag. I'm not sure about his claim but really that isn't the issue. I may have had the idea for sliced bread but since I didn't actually do anything with that idea I have no rights to it. So even if John thought it up, it's no matter. Carl...

Re: Please Boycott Phoenix Summit Challenge

I couldn't get the news article link to open, either on this site or on the other site where you posted it. Not sure if it's just my slow dial-up. Anyone else with this problem? You can go to Carla's webpage for the event and read her letter to the City Attorney, that will explain everything in mor...

Hennessy Hammock Ultralight Backpacker Asym for sale

I have been watching ebay and apprently I'm still too high on my asking price.

I'm now asking $120 for the hammock and $50 for the Super Shelter. If you buy them both I'll take $160.

It's just robbery at this point but I would really like to see these items go to some who will use them.

I'm lowering the price of this great set to $200 OBO. I recently found out that Hennessy has changed the Super Shelter, it is now a slightly thicker pad. So I think this new price is more realistic.

Email me an offer.
Thanks
