1-2 Mile Hike for kids in Greer?
We'll be camping in Greer in a couple weeks and are looking for a short (1-2 mile) easy hike that kids (age 4-8) could do that wasn't consumed by the Wallow fire. Any suggestions?

Aravaipa Conditions
I've got permits for Aravaipa for June and was just getting the reports of the 2006 flood damage. So how bad is it? Any first hand experience pre and post flood? I'm still going, just wondering what to expect.

Thanks for the great info.

In response to mikeinFHAZ's reply: So we're a couple of weeks out and I have been unable to finalize a location. I was looking at West Clear Creek and Payson sounds good. You mentioned some nice short hikes off the highline? I was looking at u-bar and some other hike up on the rim. Any additional t...

BP for 2 yr old
I am looking for a short (1.5'ish mile) BP suitable for a 2 year old. Meaning no sheer cliffs, rushing water or other potentially life threatening features.
Any suggestions?
This would be a late April trip.

Water in Boulder canyon?
I am planning a quick overnighter in the western Sups for Saturday night. Anyone been in Boulder Cyn or know what the water situation in Boulder or LaBarge Box? I'm assuming good, considering the rain and snow lately.

Option 1: Reavis ranch and Angle Springs - The drive to the Reavis Ranch North TH is graded dirt road and is passable by car. Fish creek hill looks worse than it is. From this TH a great loop is Reavis Ranch North (Reavis Valley is wonderful) to Rogers Canyon (check out the Salado Indian Cliff dwell...

In the Phoenix area > obviously the Superstitions In the Tucsan area > Saguaro National Park East In the Las Vegas area > Mt. Charleston or Death Valley National Park I'd also give the Grand Canyon a try. That time of year permits during the week shouldn't be to difficult and there are several weeks...

In response to azbackpackr's reply: Just got confirmation from a friend so there'll be two of us at least. We can meet you at the East TH and do the 14mile loop. Someone we spoke with mentioned hiking up the east and down the west, then doing the crossover - his reasoning was that the west trail ha...

In response to azbackpackr's reply: Still planning this trip, although nobody else has shown any interest. I still need a long day hike with some altitude to prep for Whitney though so I'm coming. I was planning the West TH tp start and doing the whole loop. I'm not familiar with the crossover trail?

Car Camping and Day Hiking the Mt. Baldy Loop
I'm planning to day hike the Mt. Baldy loop on Sunday September 10th. The plan is to leave Phoenix around 3pm on Saturday the 9th of Sept, grab some food in the Pinetop/Lakeside area and car camp close to the TH. Sunday get up early and be hiking around 6/7am. Do the loop then grab some food and dri...

Ash Creek and Oak Flat?
Backpacked into Ash Creek last weekend. Past the horsepack detour, then past where the detour hooks back into the main trail and still couldn't find Oak Flat. We set up camp on a saddle not far from the big falls and hiked down to the creek for water (another 30 minutes) and still no Oak Flat. What'...
