Wrightson via Temporal to Walker Basin
Please join the Baja Arizona Hiking Meetup on a strenuous adventure! We will do Mt Wrightson starting the the Temporal Gulch TH up to Jospehines Saddle. From there take the Old Baldy Trail to Mt Wrightson. Then hit the Gardener Canyon trail until the junction with Walker Basin. Take WB back to the cars. 18-19 miles with ~5000 ft elevation gain.
4x4 is required so I only have a 3-4 spots available unless someone else with a 4x4 signs up. Either sign up in meetup.com or here (I'll add you as my guests).

Re: My Wrightson via Temporal Gulch and Walker Basin Loop!
Updated meet spot! We haven't gone to Patagonia in years so I think I'd like to go I-10 to 83 to 82 to FS72. Based on this I'll be changing the meet spot to I-10 and Houghton, Northside of interstate.

@bknorby
Are you aware of the park-and-ride parking area on 83 at the I-10 exit STOP sign. We bikers have been using that parking spot since I arrived in Tucson in '93. It's a slightly more convenient spot to park than where you've proposed.

@SAMBA
But you have to drive further to get to it if you live in Tucson (other than the far east side, like near Vail).
Paul Hoyt and I have used the Houghton Road spot for a long time, both north and south sides of I-10, but will say the north side is better, as there is high speed traffic and you have limited visibility on the south side, making it more dangerous. This is especially true during weekdays during morning and evening commutes.
Paul and I have decided that the SAHC option at the Chevron at I-10/Wilmot is better (but of course you must display a cover of the SAHC bulletin on the dash and park along the north side of the lot for that). But, it is so much easier getting in and out of traffic there.

It about killed me, but I'm glad I dragged myself up Wrightson to surprise you and hang out awhile. It was a good day for this and to see some old friends on the trail.

Re: Wrightson via Temporal to Walker Basin
I was on another hike but ran into the group along the Old Baldy Trail. Although it was a brief encounter it was good to finally meet Joe, and The Eagle. I missed meeting Chumley who I unknowingly had already passed. It was also good bumping into Randy again.
