Does this loop trail take you up to the falls or is that a separate trail?

not sure I didn't go to the falls
that spur is not official trail, just use-trail

The junction is not marked. Once you cross Wolf Creek on the main trail (heading south), look for a side trail on your right. Once you're on the trail to the falls it's wide and easy to follow.
