Year 7, can you believe it??? I'm Posting this a bit earlier than Usual, but this has been on my List for a bit now and seemed like a No-Brainer for a New Year's Day Hike! Plus, I figured that with the Weather finally getting nice, some would be Eyeing this Peak! What better day to do it??? Join Us! Plenty of Heads Up Time, so put it on your Calendar! Last Year was pretty Tame, since I was still in Rehab for my Ankle, so this Year I thought we were Overdue for something a little more "Strenuous".... And it is all Off-Trail... The Good News is although there's a bit of AEG on this one, it's Short.... Hope you'll Join us for a Party on a Peak and Ring in the New Year in Style! More Details to Follow as we get Closer...
Lifeis not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming,"Wow What a Ride!"
We are 183.42 miles as the crow flies from Saddle mtn., slightly farther if we go by roads. So are hearts are with you and have a safe and Happy New Year hike.
A really big Thank You for all that Attended. It was a really Sweet Day with a nice Peak! Great to see some Familiar Faces and meet some New Ones! Hope to see you all again in 365 Days....

@Jim_H
rename as generic 7th Annual New Year's Day Hike
then visit this thread and it will sync
it's not stated anywhere, currently one would need to wait until 8pm the day of the event to see a special post button
an event finished time option is on the todo list
ok, here are the two videos. I used some of my fellow HAZers photos which of course threw off the timing since part of the group was ahead. So if you get a little confused, that might be why.
And of course, picking the music is challenging but I had a little fun with that. Oh, I didn't use the youtube stabilizer so hopefully the quality will still be okay.
Part 1 to the top: [ youtube video ]
Part 2 at the top and down: [ youtube video ]
Oh and the at the top activity is in the second video as well as more bighorn sheep toward the bottom

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination. Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.
@tibber
Thanks so much for this. It was really good! I could and will watch it again. It was like being there. I also like the music, and the sheep are really good.
