Ref: [ Bluff Spring Mountain Summit ]
I'm thinking about attempting an out-n-back hike (not a loop) from the Peralta TH to one of the two summits, either to Peak 4152 or to Peak 4041 via this posted "on trail / off trail" Gps Route--> [ Bluff Spring Mtn Summit :: map ] .
For those who have been to both summit options, which in your opinion has the best overall Superstition West views for a lunch break location before the return hike back?

@Grasshopper
I haven't been to 4041, so I can't compare the two. But 4152 is higher and has an outstanding view of Weavers. If you haven't been there, it is worthy of a visit for sure.
FWIW, the descent route on your posted track is not one I would take. Just do it as an out and back via the ascent route and avoid the super steep and sketchy descent you linked to.

I'm not sure what my spirit animal is, but I'm confident it has rabies.

the link that you posted does not work for me; I get this error message when I click the link:Grasshopper wrote:I'm thinking about attempting an out-n-back hike (not a loop) from the Peralta TH to one of the two summits, either to Peak 4152 or to Peak 4041 via this posted "on trail / off trail" Gps Route--> [ Bluff Spring Mtn Summit :: map ] .

If received the link to this map from someone you know you have two options.
1) ask them to set their Route Editor file to public
2) ask them to follow you
Civilization is a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there

@chumley
The linked loop route was a previously posted Wally hike where I reversed his route and on 1/30 I edited-in other previously posted Hike Guide route segment options. Wally did mention in his triplog something about another cave adventure along the way
.. Thanks!
(after 12+ years on HAZ of Weaver Needle pic views, more close-up views of WN are not a high priority for me)

@nonot Thx! The shortest mileage out-n-back to a good viewpoint for lunch with the least AEG is also an important consideration for me
