Yes. Just Google "Native American Tased" on both YouTube and on Google. I stopped after watching just 6 or 7 different newscasts. It never ceases to amaze me how the same news story, (not just this one) can be spun up to 180 degrees to support a narrative that a particular group or political organization is putting out there. More disturbing are the thousands of comments linked under each story in which people make uneducated and vile statements about what they have just been "told" happened.

Re: What's Your Favorite Color
So, I duckduckgoed this and found his name and then a few news stories on this. Basically, the guy is a liar, and I would go so far as to say probably a blatant "Woke" Identity politics employing manipulative person.
Per one of the reports, despite his saying he doesn't like interacting with the government, he is an ex-Marine and so felt fine with it previously despite being half Navajo and half Oneida.
For some reason he claims he was praying to his "Pueblo Ancestor relatives", which is an interesting choice for a lie as his Navajo ancestors likely attacked the Pueblo ones, maybe killing a few when they raided the pueblos centuries ago, and the Oneida are from nowhere near there, at all, so.....all tribes are one now, so long as it is politically advantageous?
He claims, "I’m practicing my religious rights on my ancestral land". Again, no, a lie, wrong tribe, not even close. Might as well go to Japan and pray there.
He's pretty bold and stupid, and he is definitely trying to capitalize on all of the leftist politics sweeping the west.
https://conandaily.com/2020/12/29/darre ... buquerque/
https://www.nps.gov/petr/learn/historyculture/what.htm
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/na ... r-BB1cknid
If he was praying, why no mention of that in the NPS body cam? One could make the argument he feared for his life, but he seems more antagonistic and defiant than fearful. If he respects the glyphs, why not co-operate, explain what he was doing, and then respect the rocks which are probably being defaced by locals and others who vandalize things such as this?

One story mentions his sexuality, because that is somehow relevant the situation, at all?"Today 12/27/2020, I was tased for being off trail at the Petroglyphs. I come here to pray and speak to my Pueblo Ancestor relatives," House wrote in the caption to the video. "Here, you will see a white man abuse his power. Both men pulled tasers on me after the first 1 couldn't keep me down."

Re: What's Your Favorite Color
My 2 cents: some members of chronically mistreated /aggrieved groups recently feel empowered to resist any authority. This means even the best-intentioned rule enforcers will face non-cooperation. Social media and national media will show the edited results. What to do? Tough problem. Smarter enforcement ideas are always bubbling up (example: you don't need to chase every car that won't pull over) but some situations will go badly. Tough time to be a cop. It's always been tough to be an Indian.

It's more like leftist politics has openly encouraged any type of psychopath to employ victimhood status to leverage power over anyone or anything which they don't like. This soft racism of "it's tough being [insert non-white race here]", as an excuse for his sort of behavior is exactly the same type of bigotry that tells us a particular race is incapable, completely incapable, of reading, doing basic math, or telling time.
He was not discriminated against, he was, as the body cam shows, an uncooperative jerk who felt entitled to do whatever he wants.

I agree he was wrong and the media amplified the wrong message. But it's worth trying to find solutions cause it's gonna keep happening exactly this same way.

I don't see anything wrong from the camera on the NPS Ranger. If tasers exist to stop an uncooperative person from fleeing, it is the best way. He had no reason to fail to provide a name when the Ranger told him what he would do. Unless there was a criminal record or warrant, what reason did he have not to comply? I can not see one which is valid.
This was a completely non-lethal interaction, and House was told he would be tased unless he was cooperative. House instead chose not to comply but screamed "help" in defiance not of the law, but even of basic reason and logic. Instead of accepting he was wrong, he went on to seek media coverage and lied to all of society to further his victimhood and lies.
No, this what we get in a Woke society of Identity Politics. The only logical solution is for the remaining liberal elements in the Democrat Party and others to reject identity politics and refuse to go along with false narratives that further this sort of stupidity.

No to the anti-maskers, as there is no logic to most of the rules surrounding their use. Masks have instead become a sort of political litmus test or proxy for colorful arm bands or flags.
Speaking specifically to the use of masks, most of which are highly porous and do not form a seal around the face of the wearer, well, well before Covid was a thing, I exclusively wore N-95s when working with any type of suspect viral illness patient. Why? I didn't want to contract it, and all of the literature was very clear. Surgical and all other non-95 masks allowed droplets and airborne particles to pass around the mask and into the respiratory tract of the wearer. This was for colds, flu, any type of viral URI. That hasn't changed. Cloth made masks at home? The particles will just go right through the weave.
It's magical thinking that people's homemade cloth mask is somehow not subject to the same physics to which all other viruses are subject. Plus, I need to wear a mask to go into the Taco Bell and order, but when I eat it can come off? There is no logic to most of these things, just emotions, what feels "right", and a lot of politics.
What is a 2A folk?

I thought we all agreed, no more sugared cereal for Jim.
Strange how one hat makes the wearer feel hopeful, secure and empowered, while the other “hat” makes the wearer (and everyone within a mile radius) feel hopeless, afraid and defeated. Just an observation on my part, I know the law, we must all follow the political science. Please don't turn me in.

We 2A folk refer to the mask as a “left-handed MAGA hat”.Jim_H wrote:colorful arm bands

I used to really like PBS back when they were fact based in their news division. Now they just mislead the public by the omission of facts which I wouldn't mind as long as tax dollars weren't funding it. As for NBC, they had some decent programming in the 1970's I seem to remember. :-)

Interesting opinion column here:

Ding ding ding ding ding! Winner winner chicken dinner!
That the majority of the news media does not challenge those in power by asking simple questions or demanding rationale for such "emergency orders" and questioning inconsistency is one of the great tragedies of our time.

emphasis mine[Massachusetts Governor Charlie] Baker has justified his outdoor mask mandate by saying it sends a message. The message I heard was that that the rules are not chosen for our health and welfare but to make our political leaders look like they are doing something.

If my ringtone could be long enough I would use Dr. Fauci's joint news conference with the W.H.O. in May where he proclaimed loudly "please stop wearing masks...besides, anything less than N-95 is like trying to stop mosquito's from entering your patio with a chain link fence." I don't see any expert or politician wearing N-95's, mainly homemade cloth to color coordinate with their clothing.

Kamala was double masking today in her vaccination episode. "Appears" N-95 , then color coordinate black mask covering.
