Expected low temperature at Reavis Ranch

Post by BT hiker »

Can anyone tell me what the low temperature is this time of year at Reavis Ranch? I have a trip planned soon and need to get an idea of how cold it will be.
Anyone, anyone, Bueller?

about 33-42 degrees
Go to any Reavis hike or any hike for that matter

Reavis Ranch via #109 North, click on "Weather"
It says March Low 37, April Low 44. We're smack dab in the middle now so 40
The reading is for the trailhead, it says minus 7 degrees for the highest point which is pretty much the ranch.
Then take into account it's been running above normal lately.

Camp before you reach Reavis on a bench with an eastern exposure where you will get the first rays of the rising sun. The valley itself will be quite a bit colder because of the vegatation/moisture. I have seen as much as a 15 degree temperature difference between plow saddle and Reavis. One June 20th I had to put on all my clothes and rain poncho as I entered the valley two hours before sunrise. When I left the north trailhead around midnight it was between 85 and 90 degrees. When I began to ascend to Circlestone the temperatures began to climb again and I went back to just my T-shirt.
