Inner Basin hike on 8/1/09
Hey everyone. I am new here and I was planning on heading up to Flag to hike up the inner basin trail and the peak if time permits. I was planning on doing a nice long hike on Sunday as well, I'm leaving that one open though. I'll be driving up from Phoenix on Saturday morning at 9 or 10, camp somewhere up there that night (maybe locket meadown or further donw the hill, and come back later Sunday night? I've got room for 2-3 in my truck. Anyone interested.

Sunday I was thinking about doing Sycamore Canyon by Sedona. Anyone know how hot it will be this time of the year?

In the upper right of each hike page is a Forecast link. It'll be toasty. http://hikearizona.com/forecast.php?LAT ... -111.99463
You might consider further up Sycamore Canyon to Kelsey & Little LO Trails, the temps are more bearable, but not as nice as Inner Basin.

Ended up just going up to Mt. Humphrey's from the Inner Basin, great hike. Sorry I couldn't postpone it to another day. My wife and kids are out of town for two weeks so I am trying to get in the more difficult hikes while they are gone. Heading to the canyon this weekend.
