Donahue/Webber/Highline Loop - Sunday Sept. 5
Starting at the Pine TH, take Donahue Trail up to Milk Ranch Point, down West Webber to the Geronimo TH and take the Highline back to the Pine TH. I'll be off work the next day to allow me to rest from this one. Leaving Mesa at 5:30am. Hopefully the drive back will be a little less congested with traffic due the the 3-day weekend. Last big hike for me before the start of football season.

Re: Donahue/Webber/Highline Loop - Sunday Sept. 5
This one doesn't appear to be listed in the TrailDex, at least not under "D". I was wondering about the mileage. 16.2 isn't that bad. Might not be as bad as I was worried about.

Yeah I forgot to link it to the respective trail pages. It's done now, thx
Might be popular enough for a page of it's own.

Re: Donahue/Webber/Highline Loop - Sunday Sept. 5
I'll be up in the area the day before doing some canyoneering. What time can I meet you guys at the TH? Also, I wanted to add the little out-and-back at the top of the loop on East Webber for some extra milage. I'll go pretty fast, training for R-R-R, so hope to catch someone before getting back to TH - will that be OK? Look forward to meeting you guys! : ) - Darrell

Re: Donahue/Webber/Highline Loop - Sunday Sept. 5
@AZ-Outdoorsman
16 miles is pretty much at the top of my limit for a dayhike. I'll see how I feel after the Pine Canyon extravaganza this sunday, but I kind of doubt I would be up for an extra out and back. I hike rather slow, though, so it's quite likely that if you did that, you would catch with my by the time I got back to the TH. I'm totally OK with it. I can even take lunch while you start the side trip.
If we leave Mesa at 5:30am, we should be at the TH by 6:45am-7am sometime, assuming we don't run into anyone towing a trailer from Payson to Pine.

Interesting, I was contemplating tagging in down Turkey & up Milk Ranch and/or an out-n-back up Webber Creek. Then catch up with the group. Not sure if I have that day open yet.

@The Stillernator
Sounds good. I'll be at the TH by 6:45. I hope you have a great dinner spot in mind for after the hike - I hike to eat! : )
Thanks for organizing - look forward to meeting everyone.

Now that I've done Webber Creek, I can't imagine passing that trail and not going up.joe bartels wrote:I was contemplating tagging in down Turkey & up Milk Ranch and/or an out-n-back up Webber Creek

Ok, we're 2 weeks out an no one else has committed yet. Time for some inspirational music to get some people to push the "Commit" button...

Despite the music, I am committed ; )
Didn't notice the different choices.
Looking forward to the hike, thanks for organizing.

I'm still iffy on this one. I've hit the rim area a lot lately and don't want to get bored with it. I'm also going to do Mt. Wrightson the day before so I'll see how I feel after that.

Looks like it the 3 of us then. I'm checking out for the night here and won't be back online until after the hike. If anyone else commits, contact me via my cell phone. If you don't have the number, get in contact with one of the committed guys.
