two nights trail

Post by louisetiennepigeon »

Hi !

My wife and I wish to hike near Phoenix in October. We are searching for suggestions for a 2 nights trail in that area. We are experienced hikers and would like to experience wilderness !

Any suggestions ?

When in October?

Day hiking or backpacking overnight?

If renting a vehicle will you have an off road four wheel drive capability?

Default response: Red Tanks Loop https://hikearizona.com/decoder.php?ZTN=1441 It has water, pleasant campsites, lots of variety, about an hour's drive from Phoenix, and can be reached with passenger vehicle. If you're looking for something less desert-y, further out from Phoenix, then there are plenty of other options :)
