Common Names: more commonly referred to as Scarlet Monkey Flower.
Habitat: canyon seeps, springs.
Flowers: red to reddish-orange, tubular, 2" long, slightly flattened on the sides.
Description: perennial. grows to 3' tall. shade. leaves are toothed, light green, ovate, downy on erect hairy stems
Comments: I'm not going to tell you why they are called Monkey Flowers because I don't think it's funny and I don't want anybody to even think about it. Leave no Trace. al1inaz.
