Campfire
I am a source of warmth, light, comfort, and general enjoyment. I am the focal point of a social gathering of friends sharing the common interest of backpacking, camping, and the outdoors. And I can be a partner to you when you are alone in the woods.

At times, I can be a life-saving survival tool, but more commonly I am the center of the vast outdoor room where people sleep, eat, drink, talk, sing, snuggle, play guitar, and wear silly hats.

My flickering light and glowing embers are ever-changing. My smoke changes direction in the wind, stings your eyes, and my natural scents leave an indelible mark on your hair, clothing, and gear that will remind you of the time you spent with me for days to come.

I am campfire.

Extinguishing Your Campfire
- Allow the wood to burn completely to ash, if possible.
- Pour lots of water on the fire. Drown ALL embers, not just the red ones. Pour until hissing sound stops.
- If you do not have water, stir dirt or sand into the embers with a shovel to bury the fire.
- With your shovel, scrape any remaining sticks and logs to remove any embers. Make sure that no embers are exposed and still smoldering.
- Continue adding water, dirt or sand and stirring with a shovel until all material is cool.

Note
Dash in the name after several people thought this label was the same as Campsite. The two labels find themselves side by side often in photos and looked too similar.
