Located in the Lime Creek drainage in Yavapai County at 2687 feet elevation adjacent to the perennial Lime Spring. A second building is used to store food and provisions for horses and there also exists a secure corral and a working outhouse.

The cabin is unofficially maintained by equestrian visitors, the most common mention in the log book being the Glendale Desert Riders (GDR). It appears to receive the most use in the month of March, with October being a distant second. All indications are that it is visited regularly by the same groups of riders.
