Cheilanthes Wootonii

Description: Triangular bright green tripinnate leaves, smooth and hairless above, with overlapping brown scales below. Often in dense clusters of stands, sun or part shade beside granite boulders or among shrubs, lechugilla, etc. Probably the most common of the "bead ferns" after C. Lindheimeri.
Habitat: AZ, CA, CO, NM, NV, OK, TX, UT
