Preferably so wide it almost seems unreal <== View and study that photo for reference. The aesthetics within depict Jeff Macewen reaching the cusp of euphoria with countless options to explore the land he loves. The feeling is one of overwhelmingness in that he could not possibly absorb it all in one hike or possibly even months. The feeling is that Jeff has just reached a point where all the troubles of life are left behind. He is now a kid in a candy store for the first time. Where will he hike next? The options are exciting to contemplate yet all will likely suffice.

A point and shoot will typically not suffice, a crop or full frame SLR with an ultra wide lens is prime. On occasion other various setups work. The idea is that's it's suppose to be a photo of a person absorbing the world. The feeling comes from the vast horizon showing the element of the world.
