The story of this place has changed in several different ways, now called called Blackstar BrewPub. Great Northern Brewing Company (they brewed my Huckleberry Wheat beer that I liked) rebuilt the old Cadillac Hotel (my dad had a partnership with the Hanging Tree bar next to it in the early 80s).
Rob Isackson, a real estate developer with California-based Village Investment Partners who has owned a home in Whitefish for two decades, confirmed that his firm acquired the Black Star building, and Great Northern Brewing Company closed February 17, 2020.
NOW: Blackstar Restaurant features our on-site, Jeremiah Johnson Brewery in historic Downtown Whitefish, where locals and visitors can enjoy great beer, unique food, and Montana atmosphere.
