After staging one truck near the Walnut Canyon Gila River crossing we travled the 12 mile Cochran Ghost Town Backroad where we would start the days trek! The Ghost Town Cochran is a fun place to explore with it's remaining foundations and the Coke Ovens on the other side of the Gila River, and a train tunnel with some nice shady tenting spots large enough for Scout outings.
